hello
i created a network drive on another computer,tried to move a datafile there , igot an error saying that cannot read file z:\users.dbf
i used a tested procedure to move datafile locally on the same machine ,it works just fine,
but to a network drive it didnt

help is appreciated

To use a mapped drive, the user that the service starts as must have setup the mapped drive and be logged onto the server when you want to access the mapped drive.
