Hi all,

I have small doubt...Can we update the v$ tables? say for eg v$thread...Is it possible, if so how?


Any suggestions are welcome....

No, you cannot update them. Why would you want to anyway?

hi,

while running the backup i m getting the 'sid name is different from thread 1'. The sid name in all locations is in capital letters, where as it is in lowercase in V$thread.. Does it make the difference, and the cause for my error message?

Ofcourse, the backup is running fine..
