Hi

My Development DB went down suddenly , 15 minutes before it was fine now it is giving this message
      ORA-01034: ORACLE not available 
      ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
    SVR4 Error: 2: No such file or directory



I am not able to restart also using System user same message,


Where can i look into it.

Oracle is down, just start it back up.

Thanks all,

Mahesh i was able to see the log file but there is no information about the downtime it had , any how i just restarted using the SYS account but still there is no information on why it failed,
here is the last part of alert log file as for today's date i was seeing'

i have 3 trace files also generated for todays date let's see that also but not able to fine why it was down.

this is surprising! alert log is supposed to contain the record..
