Can anybody tell me
Why it is not recommended not to put Redo Log Files on RAID5?

Thanx in Advance

REDO are heavily WRITE intensive.
With RAID-5 for EVERY data block written, the RAID-5 volume must (re)write the XOR block with updated information.
In other words it doubles the write activity to the RAID-5 volume.
Simply put is does not scale well.
