Hi All,

Today i got the error as ORA 7445 exception encountered: core dump [][][][][].

Kindly tell me how to overcome this problem.

what is the steps to be followed?

There should be a related entry in alert_sid.log and a reference to the dump file. post those contents

I dont know the effect of this error to my database.

So, kindly tell me the possible ways to avoid this kind of error messages in future.

If someone can do that, that would be really cool Smile
Fact is these are core dumps and could occur for many a reasons.
In this case, seems a slave process failed. If the case is reproducible , raise a TAR.

In these type of errors(Error code without error description),we usualy raise TAR with Oracle support.They will request you to attach the trace file.
