Hello sir
we have tried to multiplexing the controlfile in our linux server
I have down the server and then copied the already exisited control file from disk1 to disk2
eg: cp /mnt/disk1/ctrl01.ctl /mnt/disk2/ctrl02.ctl
then also put new entry in parameter file for new control file path
after that i have strated the database and checked the new control file used with >v$controlfile
But it didn't shows the new control file path ,it shows only the old details only
Plz help me what can i do for creating new one

just post the error when you trying to start oracle instance.
and also post the controlfiles parameter from PFILE.
