i am getting TNS error and Listener error.

With oracle forms 6 i( it looks like using 8 version sql editor.)

Your Listener is running?

Lsnrctl status?
lsnrctl start

here is the error message, all i am doing is trying to connect via oracle 10g forms developer.

when i try to compile my forms, the system is asking me would you like to connect to database i gues, when i input username, pwd and database info:

i get this message:
ORA-12154: TNS: Could not resolve the connect identifier specified.

this all started after i installed orcale 10 g developer suite.

But while installing oracle 10g dev suite, it never gave me the choices to enter username password etc...

can i manually configure the listener and TNS both for oracle 10g developer suite.
Thank you.

Please respond in some earth language and not an alien one. No one can tell if you are leaving out letters by mistaker or abbreviating. What an example of total mutilation of a language this is.
