Get someone who has privileges (and knowledge of what they are doing) to go to the directory where your archive log files are and start removing files, or if it's on a shared filesystem, remove other files.

Hi,
if your using 10g or configure flash recovery area then increase db_recovery_file_dest_size

or connect to RMAN
delete all expired / obsolete files for make free space in flash recovery area.

Regards
Taj

First check whether your archive log destination is set properly or not.

If it is ok then this error comes due to huge archive log generation. Someone made a huge transaction on the database. For removing error message either you off your achive log mode or use,

alter database clear unarchived logfile group 1;

alter database clear unarchived logfile group 2;
alter database clear unarchived logfile group 3;

and so on. After that restart your archive log.

alter system archive log stop
alter system archive log start

I have not verified my syntax error.

Thanks,
Arju.
