All ,
What is the standard datafile size you use in production(very large) environment ?Even i had a environment where we had all datafile size of 2GB each .
i read somewhere the file size shoudl be maximum 1GB for easy managebility and good perfomance .How far is this true ?
Its a generic question .Thnx in advance

No, it has the bound size. I am runing Oracle 10g in Solaris. And, the max size of tablespace USERS which contain all of datafiles is to 60GB. The value (60GB) is shown by TOAD.
And now, we have one problem, the tablespace USERS has size 40GB.
